A pair of local Liberal candidates opened new campaign offices in the region Saturday.
Huron-Bruce candidate Allan Thompson opened a volunteer campaign office in Exeter. Thompson already has offices in Kincardine and Goderich but adds there was demand for an office further south.
"We found there was demand in Exeter," he says. "We're hearing people who want change are asking for signs and how to get involved."
Thompson is running against Conservative incumbent Ben Lobb and NDP candidate Gerard Creces.
Over in Palmerston, Stephen McCotter opened his new campaign office downtown. The Perth Wellington candidate addressed questions surrounding party leader Justin Trudeau's experience.
"He is smart, he's articulate and he's tough to," says McCotter. "On October 19 he will have more experience as a member of parliament than Stephen Harper, Pierre Trudeau, Brian Mulroney, Joe Clark"
McCotter is running against NDP candidate Ethan Rabidoux and John Nater of the Conservatives.
