Brussels Main Street Re-opens

Motorists who regularly drive through the village of Brussels will be pleased to see the end of main street construction.

The main street in Brussels is a county road, and the county started re-paving the road in May and June of last year, creating a detour around the downtown section.

Brussels ward councillor Dave Blainey ays the municipality took advantage of that, and replaced all of the old water pipes and re-configured some of the sidewalks.

The project is now finished and the main street through Brussels is open again.

The cost of the project is split between the county and Huron East.  The total cost is expected to be a little over four million dollars.
