Goderich-Area Vehicles Damaged By Pellet And BB Guns

Huron County OPP officers continue to investigate cases of vehicles and homes damaged by vandals using pellet and BB guns in and around the Goderich area.

Yesterday, on Canada Day, officers received information about two more pellet gun incidents.

In Goderich, a Martha St. resident reported her Toyota sedan was damaged by pellet gun projectiles. The vehicle had a small hole in the rear window, as well as small dents in the rear bumper area and passenger side door.

Huron OPP officers were also notified of a pellet gun incident that took place on Saltford Rd. The owner of a Ford Mustang reported his vehicle had been shot at with several pellets sometime over the last week.

Huron OPP officers, including members from the Huron OPP Property Crimes Unit, continue to investigate the crimes, noting that these incidents may seem like to pranks to some, however, they are crimes that carry significant penalties upon conviction including fines and imprisonment.
