Canada Day Closures and Events in Midwestern Ontario

With the arrival of Canada Day comes a number of closures in our region.

Government offices, banks and Canada Post locations will be closed, along with LCBO and Beer Store locations.

Meantime, there are a number of events throughout our region celebrating Canada’s 148th birthday.

The Seaforth Firefighters breakfast will start at 7am at the fire hall.

There are over 27 events scheduled in Exeter, including fireworks, through the Canada Day South Huron website.

The Municipality of Meaford will start their events with a pancake breakfast starting at 9am in the Market Square.

Hanover’s Heritage Square will be home to live entertainment and a children's carnival starting at 12:00pm.

Kincardine will host a parade starting from the Royal Canadian Legion at 11:30am, followed by fireworks at dusk.

Wiarton’s events, including fireworks, will start at 11am at Bluewater Park.

Owen Sound’s Kelso Beach is home to several performers tonight before a fireworks presentation at 10pm.

The Atwood Lions Club will hold a parade and a 3 on 3 ball hockey tournament at the town’s new outdoor rink.

Harriston’s Crossroads church will hold an event from 6pm to 9pm, with fireworks set for dusk.

Wingham will host a fireworks show at Riverside Park at dusk.

The Township of Mapleton fireworks will go from 10pm to 11pm in Drayton.

Goderich will be home to a parade at 2pm, with several events scheduled beforehand.
