Construction means detours as Owen Sound's new transit routes take effect Monday.
Buses must get around road work on 8th St. E and 3rd Ave. E until the fall.
The new East Bayshore, Core, and Crosstown routes will have to detour around the 8th St. hill.
The East Bayshore route will be rerouted around the construction on 3rd Ave. E until fall.
The two detours on the East Bayshore route means the round trip from the Transit Terminal on 3rd Ave. E will take 45 minutes, rather than the allotted 30 minutes to complete.
The Brook, Crosstown and Core routes will offer half-hour service.
The East Bayshore route will not be synchronized with the other routes until fall to avoid delays to the entire system.
