Hanover Facade Improvement Grants Approved

Hanover Council has approved a staff recommendation to grant funding for 17 Downtown Facade Incentive Projects.

The Downtown Revitalization Implementation Committee won an Ontario Economic Development Award in Public-Private Partnership for the program. '

Mayor Sue Paterson says the program has renewed excitement in downtown Hanover and captured regional, provincial and national attention.

Hanover will host the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association's Communities of Practice session on June 19 as a result of the positive revitalization work, welcoming delegates from across the province.

Funding of 37.5 percent for projects under $20,000 with an additional 24.7 percent possible for projects over $20,000 to a maximum grant of $15,000 was available to downtown businesses in 2015.

The following businesses were approved during the second intake of the Facade Incentive Program:
