The City of Owen Sound says people who use conventional and specialized transit services in the city will need to explore alternative transportation options in the event of a labour disruption.
The city did receive a 72-hour notice of strike action, which means transit drivers will walk off the job at 12:01 am Sunday if a Memorandum of Agreement is not reached by then.
Negotiations continue with the Unifor 4268 representing school bus and city transit drivers in owen sound, and City Transit contractor First Student Canada.
The City will issue a release if Unifor does take strike action Sunday.
The Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board says parents of children who rely on First Student school buses in Owen Sound will also have to make other arrangements for their children.
Any bus cancellations will be communicated through the board's website and facebook page, along with the Student Transportation Service Consortium of Grey Bruce website at https://stscgb.wordpress.com
