Bluewater Board Looks For Public Input

The Bluewater District School Board is looking for public input as it continues a review of its multi-year strategic plan.

The strategic plan was launched in January 2012 following consultation with stakeholders, and included a vision and mission statement and a list of four priorities.

Now, the board is asking residents in its catchment area to take part in an online survey. It includes a series of questions to determine whether or not the strategic plan still meets the needs of Bluewater District students, parents and the community.

The survey will be posted on Monday, March 2, and will be taken down on April 24.  It's on the board's website www.bwdsb.on.ca.

"School boards are encouraged to review their strategic plans on a cyclical basis to ensure that all stakeholders are committed to the same path in order to support the success and well-being of all students. We hope that many parents/guardians, students, staff and community members will come forward to participate in our survey,” says Director of Education Steve Blake.

The survey feedback will be compiled by staff and presented to the Board of Trustees in June.
