The province is going ahead with plans for a major rebuild of Hwy. 6 from Mount Forest north for 12 km to the Dundalk Rd.
The work will include two passing lanes, and work is expected to start early in 2016.
If Southgate is willing, the MTO also wants to close the Orchardville Sideroad and replace it with a driveway to Hwy. 6 for the one residence effected.
A public information meeting is set for January 26 from 4pm-7pm at the Mount Forest Sports Complex.
