For the second time in his career, the mayor of Huron-Kinloss will hold a dual role.
Mitch Twolan was acclaimed to the position of Bruce County warden for 2015 when his bid for the job went uncontested during county council's inaugural session today.
It's Twolan's second time in the warden's chair, having last held the position in 2007.
For the year ahead, Twolan says he wants to focus on the regional broadband initiative, and also be an advocate for social services, pointing out there's many people below the poverty line in Bruce County who need their support.
"They look to us, in a quiet way, for leadership to help them through this. So I think as a council, we have to find ways to try and find ways to help those people out. It's very difficult, it's such a balancing act at the county level to try and meet the needs of everyone throughout our county," says Twolan.
