Rural Response for Healthy Children of Huron County is hosting two workshops today, aimed at helping people manage their finances.
Pam Hannington is the co-ordinator of the Financial Literacy Program. She says family budgeting is not taught in school and many young people, or even not so young people, don't have the skills to set up a budget and stick to it.
The program is called Budget Buddies, and Hannington says they enlist volunteers who have budgeting skills and match them up with the people who need help.
The Budget Buddies workshops are being held at 1:30pm this afternoon and 6:30pm this evening at the Rural Response for Healthy Children office at 52 Huron St. in Clinton.
