There’s no sap running because of the cold weather, so there’s no local maple syrup production. But that’s not slowing down organizers of several long-running and very popular Maple Syrup Festivals.
The Old-Tyme Maple Syrup Festival, hosted by the Saugeen Valley Conservation Foundation, is set for March 29-30 at Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area, just north of Paisley.
The Elmira Maple Syrup Festival is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year. Called “The World’s Largest One Day Maple Syrup Festival”, it’s Saturday April 5.
The 47th annual Belmore Maple Syrup Festival is on April 10-12, and Holstein Maplefest runs April 12-13 at Love’s Sugar Bush near Holstein.
