This is a terrible loss, and my sincere condolences go out to his family, the other boys who he was with, and the community of Elora. Accidents happen and yes, boys will be boys, but the community needs to know how this tragedy could have been avoided. Help me explain this to my kids who safely tube down the Grand River yearly. Was Bryce wearing a lifejacket and helmet?

It doens’t matter whether or not this young man was wearing a helmet or life jacket. He lost his life. Why do people always try to blame the victim or try to find reason as to why a tragedy happened. People need to be more curteous before they put their two cents online.
