No Nomination Papers Filed For Councillor In Two North Huron Wards

With just a week remaining to file nomination papers for this year's municipal election, there are no applicants for council positions in two of North Huron's wards.

While there is a race for North Huron Reeve, with incumbent Neil Vincent and former councillor Bernie Bailey currently in the running, no one has filed papers for councillor in either Blyth or East Wawanosh.

In Blyth, former councillor Bill Knott recently resigned due to selling his property. while Brock Vodden announced earlier this year he would not seek re-election. In East Wawanosh, Deputy Mayor James Campbell and Councillor Ray Hallahan have not tipped their hands as to whether they intend to run again.

There are three people running for councillor of North Huron's Wingham Ward; Incumbent Trevor Seip, Agost Vaday & Paul Heffer.

The deadline to file nomination papers for this year's election is at 2pm on Friday, July 27.
