Huron County Torch Run A Huge Success

The 2018 Huron County Law Enforcement Torch Run will go down in the books as one of the best ever.

Dozens of Special Olympians, police officers, family members, friends, and community supporters from across the County took part in the Torch Run on Tuesday, June 12.

A one-day total of $6,242 was raised for Special Olympics Ontario.

With the previous donation from the Easter weekend 'Road Toll' in Exeter, the total donations from Huron County this year now sit at $7,403.

OPP Acting Staff Sergeant Russ Nesbitt commented, "This has to be the largest group of participants and supporters we have had out in my 20 years of organizing this event. I feel very honoured and proud to be involved with such an amazing group of people."
