'The Human Flow' Featured Thursday at Huron County Museum

The Huron County Museum is hosting a special movie night Thursday.

Education and Programming Assistant Sinead Cox explains the documentary about the global refugee crisis, called 'The Human Flow', directed by renowned international artist and activist Ai Weiwei.

Cox says one of the key points in the movie is the explanation of the difference between refugees and immigrants.

"Refugees don't get to choose where they come. They are matched if they go through the UN, for example, so they're not making the choice to come to a place, they just have to leave wherever they are -- either because of natural disasters, climate change, war, conflicts all of those things," says Cox.

The documentary starts at 7pm on Thursday at the museum in Goderich, and your Huron County library card gets you in the door.

More information about the movie nights throughout the summer can be found on the Huron County Museum website.
