Saugeen Shores Police Services Board And Association Reach Tentative Agreement

A tentative agreement has been reached on a new collective bargaining agreement between the Saugeen Shores Police Services Board and the Saugeen Shores Police Association.

The previous contract expired December 31, 2017, and the two sides have been negotiating a new deal since February.

The proposed two-year contract includes wage increases for police officers that closely reflect the rate of inflation as well as improvements to benefit coverage.

"Both the Board and the Association are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement through positive and productive dialogue," stated Luke Charbonneau, chair of the Police Services Board.

The matter will be put to the membership of the association as well as to the Police Services Board for ratification later this month.
