Royal Canadian Legion Donation To Wingham Hospital Foundation

A $7,000 grant has been awarded to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation by the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command Branches and Ladies' Auxiliaries Charitable Foundation.

This contribution has helped the Hospital Foundation with the purchase of an anesthetic machine for the operating room. The anesthetic machine is scheduled for installation later this year.

The $7,000 donation would not have been possible without the support of local Legion branches in Wingham, Lucknow, Blyth, Howick and Brussels.

The Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command annually contributes grant funds to community organizations where their branches operate.

The organization sates that funds for grants are raised through clubhouse operations, bingos, raffles and break open tickets and that each year "hundreds of thousands of dollars are donated by branches in Ontario to other community and service organizations."
