UPDATE: OPP Identify Victim Of Fatal Pedestrian Crash Near Bluevale

UPDATED 12:45pm 

The OPP say a 64-year-old Central Huron man was killed while inspecting the scene of a previous collision near Bluevale.

Douglas Stamper of Central Huron had left his vehicle and was inspecting extensive damage on Harriston Rd. near Black Line when he was struck by an oncoming eastbound pickup truck.

The OPP was already on their way to the scene, responding to a call from an earlier passerby at about 6pm Sunday evening about guardrail debris on the road.

Huron County Paramedic Services, the North Huron Fire Department, and Huron OPP arrived on the scene where they located a male pedestrian without vital signs. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the eastbound pickup truck was uninjured.
