Warriors Win to Tie Series at 2-2

The Stratford Warriors rallied from a three goal deficit to beat Elmira 6-3 in Game 4 and tie their GOJHL Conference semifinal 2-2.

Ryan Cullen and Kaleb Pearson each had a pair of goals for the Warriors.

Zack Cameron put the Sugar Kings on the board with a power play goal at 16:03 of the first. Matt MacKay scored with just over a minute left in the period to make it 2-0 Elmira headed into the second.

Cullen started the Warriors rally with a short handed goal six minutes into the second. Connor Gregga scored on the power play to tie the game midway through the middle frame.

Ethan Skinner scored for Elmira with the man advantage to put the Sugar Kings ahead but the lead wouldn't last two minutes this time. Graham Brulotte scored the equalizer just over a minute and a half later and Pearson found the back of the net less than three minutes after that to give the Warriors the lead heading into the third.

Pearson and Cullen scored again in the third to give Straford a 6-3 win.

Ruan Badenhorst made 26 saves to earn the win. Tyler Mazzocato stopped 34 shots for the Sugar Kings.

Game 5 is tomorrow night in Stratford at the Allman Arena starting at 7:30 p.m.
