The Listowel native and PGA Tour Rookie was in the lead heading into the final round yesterday but shot a 6-over 77 to fall 15 places and finish tied for 16th.
Conners stunned golf fans with his incredible play in the first three rounds that included a 4-under 67, 2-under 69 and a 3-under 68.
England's Paul Casey vaulted 10 places with a 6-under 65 in his final round to win the event with a final score of 10-under 274. Patrick Reed and Tiger Woods finished second with a 9-under 275.
Adam Hadwin was the low Canadian with a final score of 4-under 280, tied for 12th.
