Local High School Music Students Recognized With Awards

Some local Clinton high school students were recently recognized for their musical skills.

The St. Anne's Catholic School Concert band, made up of 54 members, took part in the Music Fest Canada Regional competition in Collingwood on February 28. The band received a Silver Standing for their performance, and have been invited to the Music Fest National Competition in Toronto this May.

Also, the St. Anne's Jazz Combo called "Jazz Cubed" won Gold Standing at the competition, the first ever for the school. The group is made up of Joshua LeBlanc-Demers on percussion, Ben Luelo on alto sax, and Karsten Stryker on guitar.
