Drugs Worth $35K Seized In Palmerston

A Valentine’s Day search warrant in Palmerston kept police busy for hours.

Members of the Wellington County OPP, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, the Emergency Response Team, and a Canine team were part of the search at a residence on Inkerman St. in Palmerston.

Police seized methamphetamine, oxycodone, morphine, ecstasy and marijuana.  The combined street value of the drugs is estimated at $35,000.

Drug trafficking paraphernalia, a stolen motorcycle, and two prohibited weapons were also seized.

A lengthy list of drug possession and drug trafficking charges were laid against 31-year-old Mathew Drumond of Palmerston, 26-year-old Samantha Klonikowski of Palmerston, and 42-year-old Jason Brown of no fixed address.

Charges were also laid for possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

All three were held for bail hearings on Thursday.
