Hawks Lose to Trail Sailors in Yeck Division Quarter Final

The Sailors’ Brayden Latimer scored at 16:17 of the third to force extra time and Austin Muscutt had the game winner 6:08 into overtime as Port Stanley edged Exeter 3-2 in Game 3 of their Yeck Division quarter final series.

Port Stanley now leads the series 2-1.

Liam Melady opened the scoring for the Hawks midway through the first. Mack Tufford answered for the Sailors early in the second. Jon Baker’s power play goal tied the game heading into the third.

Dane Gubbels stopped 52 shots for the Hawks. Ryan Langford made 39 saves for Port Stanley.

Game 4 is Thursday night at the South Huron Rec Centre at 8:30 p.m.
