GOJHL Wrap: Cyclones 3 Goal Rally Stuns Bombers

Listowel 4 Brampton 1

The Listowel Cyclones scored three times in a two-minute-and-five-second span in the second and beat Brampton 4-1.

Ben Van Ooteghem scored back-to-back goals just 23 seconds apart to put the Cyclones on the board in the final five minutes of the second. Brady Anderson made it 3-1 to end the period.

Chayse Herrfort padded the Cyclones lead at 11:17 of the third.

Ivan Brewer scored the Bombers lone goal midway through the first.

Max Wright earned the win with 19 saves.

Stratford 4 Elmira 2

Jack Scanlan's scored the go-ahead goal with his second of the game and the Stratford Warriors doubled Elmira 4-2.

Scanlan opened the scoring 40 seconds into the second period. Callan Christner made it 2-0 Stratford at 5:36 of the middle frame. Ty Biles put the Sugar Kings on the board with a power play goal just past the midway point of the second and Jeremey Goodwin scored two-and-a-half-minutes later with the man advantage to tie the game. Scanlan scored the game winner unassisted at 16:02 of the second.

Sean Ross added insurance for the Warriors on the power play midway through the third.

Ruan Badenhorst earned the win for Stratford with 37 saves. Tyler Mazzocato stopped 29 shots for the Sugar Kings.

Kitchener 5 Waterloo 3

Kitchener scored three times in the third period to beat Waterloo 5-3.

The Dutchmen were down by a goal heading into the final frame.

Jeff Schrattner led the Dutchmen with a pair of goals and an assist. Matthew Chan earned the win in net with 28 saves.
