GOJHL Wrap: Cyclones Dominate with the Man Advantage

St. Marys 4 Leamington 3 (OT)

Ben Maidment scored the game winner at 4:09 of overtime to give the St. Marys Lincolns a 4-3 win over Leamington.

Dalton Bancroft got the scoring started for the Lincolns at 16:13 of the first period.

Austin Maietta's unassisted goal 7:22 into the second would put the visitors up 2-0. Jaydon Fetter answered for the Flyers on the power play about ten minutes later. Preston Corp scored 35 seconds later to tie the game.

Fetter's second goal of the game put the Flyers up 3-2 at 8:12 of the third period. Jake Weston scored the equalizer midway through the frame to force extra time.

Evan Morrison stopped 37 shots for the Lincolns. Noah Hedrick made 18 saves for the Flyers.

Listowel 6 Brantford 1

Jagger O'Toole struck twice as the Listowel Cyclones defeated the Brantford 99ers 6-1.

Jakob Lee set up four of the Cyclones goals. Ben VanOoteghem scored and had an assist in the win.

Brendan Cederberg's goal at 5:10 of the first period would stand as the game winner.

The Cyclones made good use of the man advantage going 4-5 on the power play including three power play goals in the thrid period.

Jack Gaffney was the lone scorer for the 99ers, beating Evan Reinhart early in the third on the power play.

The Cyclones lead the Midwest Division with 71 points, nine more than second place Stratford. They are just behind Caledonia with 71 points and one more game played for the league lead.
