PJHL Wrap: Patriots Rally with Three in Two Minutes

The Goderich Flyers let a three goal lead slip and fell 5-3 to Mount Forest.

The Patriots were held off the score sheet in the second period while the Flyers' Cody Treble, Chase Meurs and Mac Smith all put Goderich on the board. Chad Treble set up two of the Flyers goals.

Luke Hoelscher put the Patriots on the board at 5:49 of the second period.

The Patriots scored four times in the third period, three of those goals in a less than two minute span. Riley Cribbin got the rally started just 15 seconds into the final frame. Michael Stefanelli tied the game just a-minute-and-two-seconds later. Troy Weber's goal at 1:54 of the third would stand as the game winner. Hayden Coulter added insurance on an empty Flyers net with just over 40 seconds left in regulation.

Wingham 5 Kincardine 1

Carter Collinson set up three of the Ironmen's goals as Wingham beat Kincardine 5-1.

Jamie Huber and Rhys Vollmer each scored and had an assist for Wingham.

Derick Bernath was the lone scorer for the Bulldogs, putting Kincardine on the board first at 12:23 of the opening period.

Broedy Karelse answered for Wingham just over two minutes later. Josh Higgins power play goal at 17:28 of the first would stand as the game winner.

Vollmer, Connor Gibson and Huber all scored in the second period. Neither team was able to get on the board in the third period.
