Listowel's Corey Conners finished the opening round of the PGA Tour's Sony Open in Hawaii at even par.
The 25-year-old is seven strokes back of co-leaders Chris Kirk and Zach Johnson. He is tied with Mac Hughes for low Canadian at 78th.
His round included an eagle on the par 5 ninth hole and birdies on the 13th and 18th holes.
Round 2 begins this morning and Conners tees off at 1:40 p.m.
