Ben Lobb Adopts Kincardine Blood Donor Clinic

Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb has adopted a blood donor clinic for a day.

Canadian Blood Services has started a program that encourages members of parliament to to adopt a clinic for a day, so Lobb has adopted the Kincardine blood clinic this Wednesday, January 10.

The clinic is being held at the Davidson Centre from 1:30pm in the afternoon until 7:30pm in the evening and they've set a goal of 173 donors.

Lobb suspects they'll have no trouble exceeding their target and he says anyone wishing to avoid waiting can book an appointment through blood.ca.

Lobb adds, like a lot of people, he doesn't give blood as often as he should but he will be donating on January 10 and he encourages as many other people in the community as possible to do the same.

"We are pleased and proud to have the opportunity to help give life in this way," says Lobb. "We are very excited about making a real difference in the lives of Canadian hospital patients. This year, 100,000 new blood donors are needed across Canada to meet patient needs — including 115 needed right here in our community. We invite Kincardine area residents to join us and make an appointment to donate blood."
