Al Hutchinson settled for the third playoff position in Brokerlink Insurance Grey Bruce Major Curling after a 5-0 start to the season when he dropped his second in a row last night.
Hutchinson lost 6-3 to Wade Walsh. Walsh earned the fourth playoff position with a 4-3 record.
Shawn Smailes defeated Steve Gregg 7-3 last night to finish Week 7 with a 6-1 record and earn the top playoff spot.
Don Bartley is in second after an 8-3 win over Craig Milburn.
In other action, Joe Rettinger beat Mike Hamer 7-5.
The first round of the playoffs is a three game round robin.
