Knights Fall to the Ice Dogs

Max Jones and Robert Thomas scored for the Knights but it wasn't enough as London lost 4-2 to Niagara.

The Ice Dogs were led by Akil Thomas with a goal and an assist. Danial Singer set up two of the Knights goals.

The Knights' Thomas opened the scoring just over five minutes into the game but the lead was short lived with Johnny Corneil scoring for Niagara midway through the first period. The Ice Dogs' Thomas put Niagara in the lead with a power play goal four minutes later.

Oliver Castleman's goal just 43 seconds into the second period would stand as the game winner for the Ice Dogs. It was that goal that prompted the Knights to pull netminder Joseph Raaymakers. He'd allowed three goals on 12 shots.

Jones scored for the Knights at 8:35 of the final period and Kirill Maksimov's empty netter at 18:26 would add insurance for the Ice Dogs.

Jordan Kooy kept the Knights in the game, stopping all five shots he faced, until he was pulled for the extra attacker in the final minutes of the third.
