Chair and Vice-Chair Elected For Huron-Perth Catholic Board

The Huron Perth Catholic District School Board has a new Chair.

Trustees have elected Amy Cronin of the Bluevale-area to her first term as Chair.   She represents Huron East, Perth East and North Perth, and has been a trustee since 2011.

Amy and her husband Mike are passionate about involvement in community and agricultural boards and are active parishioners of Sacred Heart Church in Wingham.

"As a mother of six children, I hold dearly the role of the Catholic school system and all that it offers our students", stated Cronin.    "As I begin my eighth year as trustee I am humbled and honoured to be chosen to represent the trustees as Chair of the Board.   Over the next year we will continue to focus on high quality education that prepares our students for their future, no matter what path they choose, while continuing to forge a life-long relationship with Christ."

Jim McDade was elected to his second term as Vice-Chair.   He's a retired teacher, principal and coordinator with the Huron-Perth Catholic Board.

He's been on the Board since 2007, and represents Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, North Huron, Howick, Central Huron, Morris-Turnberry, and Goderich.
