PJHL Wrap: Mitchell Wins; Walkerton and Exeter Suffer Losses

Alliston 4 Walkerton 3 (OT)

Matt Geirfert forced extra time with a goal for Walkerton at 13:54 of the third but it was Alliston that would score in the extra frame, beating the Hawks 4-3.

The Hawks out shot the Hornets 46-28.

Joe Teofilo scored the game winner for the Hornets at 6:47 of the extra frame.

Ryan Young led the Hornets with a pair of goals. Walkerton was led by Gar Mantz with a goal and an assist. Justin Donnelly set up two of the Hawks goals.

Andrew North earned the win with 43 saves. Cody van der Heide stopped 24 shots for the Hawks.

Mitchell 5 Hanover 2

Mitchell scored four times in the third period to stun Hanover 5-2.

Blake Pickering's goal at 11:29 of the final frame would stand as the game winner. Tyler Par added insurance on an empty Barons net with just 3 seconds left in regulation.

The Hawks out shot the Barons 32-16.

Pickering led Mitchell's offense with a goal and two assists. Derek Elliot and Tyson Hall each had a goal and an assist for Mitchell.

The Barson were let by Jordan Reaman with a goal and an assists. Colton Culbert set up two of the Barons' goals to earn two points in the loss.

Lambeth 4 Exeter 1

Ben Ryan was the lone scorer for Exeter as the Hawks lost 4-1 to Lambeth.

Keith Arnold's goal at 14:02 of the first period would stand as the game winner for the Lancers.

The Hawks Dane Gubbels made 32 saves on 35 shots over 58-and-a-half minutes of work. Brock MacDonald stopped 28 shots to earn the win for the Lancers.
