Attack Make A Pair of Trades to Acquire Brady Lyle

The Owen Sound Attack made a pair of trades yesterday in order to acquire Brady Lyle from the North Bay Battalion.

The right handed defenceman was the Battalion's first round pick, 18th overall in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. He's scored seven goals and had 30 assists in 111 career OHL games. In nine games this year, Lyle has scored three times.

In a release, General Manager Dale DeGray says the 18-year-old is "a strong, puck moving defenceman that brings a lot to our back end. Being a right handed shot helps add depth to our blueline and we think he'll fit in fantastically in our dressing room."

The Attack also got a 7th round pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection in the deal with North Bay and sent the Battalion netminder Christian Propp. The Attack acquired Propp earlier in the day from the Barrie Colts in exchange for the Erie Otter's 2nd round pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection and Owen Sound's 5th round pick in 2019 and 7th round pick in 2020.

Lyle is expected to join his teammates for practice today. The Attack are back in action this Friday when they visit the Rangers in Kitchener.
