Capital Campaign Starts For Huron Residential Hospice

Huron's Residential Hospice committee has announced a new capital campaign and fundraising chair.

Daryl Ball will be taking over from Gwen Devereaux, and his responsibilities will include fund-raising throughout the county.

Fund Development Manager Michelle Field says education will also be a major part of his job, as well as explaining what the money is needed for, and why the hospice is so important.

Field adds now that they have possession of the house along Hwy. 8 west of Clinton, they will be inviting members of the community to come and visit.

"When you drive by the house and see it from the road, you're not really getting the whole experience," says Field. "How it looks on the outside is not really what it is on the inside and I think until people are really educated about what's happening here and that there are potential for four to five families coming together all the time."
