GOJHL Wrap: Incredible Goalie Performances Fail to Generate Wins

Stratford 6 Brantford 4

Maxim Mulder, Addison Macey, and Graham Brulotte all had two assists in the Stratford Warriors 6-4 win over Brantford.

It was a close game with the two teams trading the lead and firing nearly the same number of shots on each others net. Stratford out shot Brantford 41-39.

Connor Gregga's power play goal at 9:58 of the third stood as the game winner and Kaleb Pearson's empty netter at 19:27 of the third added insurance for the Warriors.

The 99ers were led by Louis Latta with a pair of goals. Levi Tetrault scored and had an assist for Brantford.

Elmira 8 Guelph 3

Jeremey Goodwin had a hat trick in the Elmira Sugar Kings 8-3 win over Guelph.

Jeff Jordan struck twice and set up two more for Elmira. Zack Cameron earned three points with a goal and two assists.

Tyler Mazzocato stopped 24 shots in the win. Jet Greaves made 33 saves for the Hurricanes.

Guelph was led by Cameron Stokes with a goal and two assists and by Anthony Mota with a pair of goals.

St. Thomas 4 St. Marys 3

Clayton Lewis struck twice and had an assist but it wasn't enough as the St. Marys Lincolns lost 4-3 to St. Thomas.

The Stars were led by Curtis Ferreira who had a pair of goals including the game winner with less two minutes left in regulation.

The Lincolns lost despite an incredible 54 save performance by Tristan Lewis. Kodie Oude Vashaar made 30 saves for the Stars.

Waterloo 2 Brampton 0

The Waterloo Siskins did all of their scoring in the first period en route to a 2-0 shut out of Brampton.

James Ranson and Brett Schaefer scored for the Siskins.

Sam Cherry set up both of the Siskins goals.

Kailem Chappelle earned the shut out with 33 saves.

The Siskins out shot the Bombers 60-33. Travis Smith stopped 58 shots in the loss.
