Elmira and Guelph Earn Wins

Elmira 8 Brantford 4

Ethan Wiseman scored back-to-back goals in the second period including the game winner in the Elmira Sugar Kings 8-4 victory over Brantford.

Both Wiseman and Zack Cameron picked up three points in the game with two goals each and one assist. Jeff Jordan also earned three points with a goal and two helper. Tyler Beauparlant scored a pair of goals for the Sugar Kings.

The 99ers were led by Tyler Gervais-Rolfe and Christian Polillo with a goal and an assist each.

Evan Reinhart was chased from the 99ers net just over seven-and-a-half minutes into the game after allowing three goals on five shots. Cameron Gratton made 20 saves on 25 shots in relief.

Tyler Mazzocato earned the win for Elmira with 24 saves.

The Sugar Kings are now four points back of first place Listowel in the Midwestern Conference Standings. Brantford is in last place with six points.

Guelph 3 Brampton 1

Anthony Mota scored two goals just three minutes apart in the second period and the Guelph Hurricanes beat Brampton 3-1.

Tyler Harrison assisted on both of Mota's goals.

Adel Zivojevic scored the insurance goal for the Hurricanes early in the third period.

The Bombers were on the board early thanks to Ivan Brewer with a short handed, unassisted goal at 16:16 of the first period.

Trenton McGrail made 20 saves in the win. Joshua Eisfeld stopped 36 shots for the Bombers.

With the win the Hurricanes are hot on the heels of the Midwest leading Listowel Cyclones. Both teams have 14 points. Listowel is 7-1-0-0 while Guelph is 6-3-1-1.
