Hawks Hand Ironmen First Regulation Loss

The Mitchell Hawks jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first period and handed the Wingham Ironmen their first loss in regulation with a 5-1 decision.

Jamie Huber spoiled Tyler Parr's shut out bid with an unassisted goal at 17:37 of the third.

The Hawks were led by Ethan Hill with a pair of goals and an assist. Jamie Shoemaker and Mackinnon Hawkins each had two assists in the victory. Jarret Bogdon and Derek Elliot also picked up two points with a goal and an assist each. Brett Denny also scored for Mitchell.

Jamie Brock made 39 saves for the Ironmen. Parr stopped 31 shots for Mitchell.

The Ironmen still lead the Pollock Division with a 6-1-0-1 record. They are one point up on second place Mount Forest.
