Local Tim Hortons' Support Wingham Hospital Redevelopment

The owners of Tim Hortons in Wingham and Blyth have pledged to donate $10,000 to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation.

The donation from Bill and Jenny McGrath will support the major redevelopment work that is taking place at the Hospital.

The ongoing project will see six key hospital departments receive significant expansion and renovation. Expanding and refurbishing the Oncology clinic -- the only one of its kind in Huron and Bruce -- and the adjacent pharmacy is the first stage of the project and is currently underway.

The total estimated cost of the long-term project is $17-million.

"Tim Hortons is known for supporting local community initiatives," said McGrath. "We are proud to continue that tradition here in North Huron by supporting our hospital."

All community contributions directly support the bricks and mortar facility upgrades and medical equipment to outfit the expanded departments - including oncology, pharmacy, nursing, specialist clinic, medical device reprocessing and surgery.
