Good news for dog owners in Wellington North.
The cost to renew a dog tag is going down from $25 to $15.
The change results from a door-to-door licensing blitz this year. The enumeration raised the sale of dog tags from about 600 in 2016 to over 2,000 this year, resulting in more than $51,000 in revenue.
That put the dog control budget in the black in Wellington North by $4,600.
The cost for a first time tag remains at $25.
