Warriors Now 5-0 After Beating Dutchmen

Jack Scanlan and Connor Gregga each scored twice and had two assists in the Stratford Warriors 9-5 win over the Kitchener Dutchmen.
Kaleb Pearson earned first star honours with three assists for Stratford.

Ryan Nicholson had a pair of goals for the Warriors and Graham Brulotte scored and set up two more in the win.

Ruan Badenhorst made 33 saves to earn the victory.

The Warriors chased Lucas Pfeil from net with just 49 seconds left in the first after he allowed four goals on 14 shots. Hayden Chieffo made 11 saves on 15 shots in relief. Pfeil's night got off to a rough start when he caused his team to take a penalty for an anthem violation.
Stratford's last three goals were short handed in the final half of hte third period. Despite Kitchener racking up 26 penalty minutes on 5 infractions the Warriors were 0-2 on the power play.

Three of the Warriors players lead the League Scoring list.  Scanlan is in first with 5 goals and 11 assists, Brulotte is second with 6 goals and 8 assists, and Curtis Abbott is third with 7 goals and 5 assists.

The Warriors are 5-0 to start the season and lead the GOJHL's Midwestern Conference by two points. The Listowel Cyclones are second at 4-0.
