North Perth Set To Break Building Permit Record From 2016

North Perth continues to rapidly build and expand as they dish out more building permits after a record 2016.

CAO Kris Snell says so far, this year has been extremely busy as well.

"Last year we set a record for the number of permits we released including the number of dwelling units that were built in North Perth," says Snell. "This year we're on track to break that record, so it's been a super year in terms of building and economic development and growth in North Perth."

Snell says the municipality has been told by employers and developers that having the three pillars of education, healthcare and recreation are key in making a community sustainable.

"The new school, the new arena, the hospital getting a new CT scanner, all just help to make North Perth an inviting and welcoming community for newcomers," says Snell.

North Perth is on pace to surpass last year's record permit number by almost $10-million.
