Motorcycle Driver Killed In Crash Near Dorking

A motorcycle driver was killed Thursday morning when his bike collided with a horse and buggy near Dorking.

Waterloo Regional Police say the collision happened around 10:30am on Line 86 at Chalmers-Forrest Rd.

The motorcycle was travelling west on Line 86 when it hit a horse and buggy that was crossing the road.

The male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Family members riding in the buggy were treated for minor injuires by paramedics. The horse was killed.

Line 86 was closed well into the afternoon Thursday.

Police are still investigating.
