Listowel Curling Club Nominated for Kraft Heinz Project Play

The Listowel Curling Club has been nominated for Kraft Heinz Project Play.

In the nomination, it's stated that the Listowel Curling Club needs a new roof in the next 2 to 3 years and that could cost upwards of $100,000.

And the submission adds that increased costs in running the club, particularly hydro, has made it tough to save any capital dollars.

The project play contest could earn the winners up to $250,000.

The nomination also summarizes the Listowel Curling Club as one of the top ones in the province and replacing the roof is essential to the long-term viability of the club.

It not only serves members but other areas of the community such as the high school, seniors groups and community functions.

The full nomination can be found at kraftheinzprojectplay.com.
