Local Ball Players to Represent Ontario at Summer Games

A long list of local softball players will have a chance to represent the area at the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg.

Teeswater’s Jared and Conner Weishar will suit up for Team Ontario in the Men’s Softball tournament.

Also on the roster, Staffa’s Derek Elliot and Owen Sound’s Matt Wardrop.

There are three players from Tavistock in Jake Wiffen, Derek Hyde and Liam LaForest.

Team Ontario’s first game is Saturday, July 29 versus Saskatchewan.
