LCBO Customers In Perth And Huron Asked To Give To United Way

The LCBO is launching an in-store campaign tomorrow in 17 outlets across Perth and Huron counties.

United Way Perth-Huron will benefit from the "Giving Back in Our Community" fundraiser. All you have to do is say "yes" when an LCBO employee asks if you want to donate $10, $5 or $2.

Last year, the LCBO donated more than $52,000 to United Way Perth-Huron.  That money went to support 48 local organizations and services.

United Way Perth-Huron also provides affordable office space and administrative support for non-profit tenants at The United Centre in Stratford.

It also delivers valuable research and advocacy through the Social Research and Planning Council.

"Asking for donations can be difficult," admits Janice Gregory, manager of the Lucknow LCBO, "but the LCBO runs these campaigns because we know there are people in our local communities that need help and customers always respond."

Connie Locke, manager of the Stratford Festival Mall LCBO commented, "The great thing about United Way is that all donations stay local. We are all part of these communities – that’s why we are proud to support United Way as they continue to work for positive change in Huron and Perth."
