Roy Halladay Inducted Into Canadian Baseball Hall Of Fame

Former Toronto Blue Jays pitching great was among those inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys on Saturday. Halladay came to the Blue Jays in 1998 and frequently led the league in complete games and in innings pitched.

Halladay explains he pitched for contact rather than strikeouts and that made for fewer pitches and shorter innings and that helped his finish games. Halladay describes Toronto as his home away from home and says there's no other city like for professional athletes because you're known and recognized but not bothered by fans so he still has very special memories of his days in Toronto.

Halladay adds both of his sons play ball and his 16-year-old son was born in Toronto and hopes to play for Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic.

Also inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame on Saturday were former Montreal Expos slugger Vladimir Guerrero along with long-time Baseball Canada president Ray Carter, Canada's Senior National Team that captured gold at the 2015 Pan Am Gamesand legendary umpire Doug Hudlin posthumously.
