A tornado warning for Owen Sound and northern Grey County has ended.
Forecasters at Environment Canada say that at 6pm Saturday, a severe thunderstorm developed that produced at least one tornado. A funnel cloud was sighted near Ayton in Grey County shortly after 7pm. There was no immediate report of a touchdown.
A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for most of southwestern Ontario. Damaging winds, large rail and locally heavy rain are all possible.
