Hanover Police Continue Investigating Pharmacy Robbery

Hanover Police are still investigating a robbery that occurred on May 15th at 5:40 p.m. at the Pharma Plus located at 342 10th Street, Hanover.

A lone male suspect entered the pharmacy through a rear entrance, indicated he had a firearm and demanded narcotics from staff. He fled the scene and no one sustained injuries. On Thursday, May 18th, Hanover Police arrested 35-year-old Shawn Manarey, of no fixed address, for the robbery. He has been charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Wearing Disguise. He appeared in Walkerton Bail Court on the 19th, and has been remanded into custody.

Upon further investigation on the 19th shortly after 1am, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 300 block of 10 th Street in Hanover for stolen narcotics from the pharmacy robbery. Police arrested 46-year-old Jeffrey Fidler of Hanover after entering the residence.

During the arrest, a Hanover Police officer was injured by a dog in the residence and trewated for minor bite injuries in hospital. Jeffrey Fidler has been charged with Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking in Hydromorphone, Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking in Butalbital and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. A small amount of narcotics was recovered, but police are warning that a large amount are still not accounted for and considered dangerous. Fidler was taken to Bail Court in Walkerton and remanded into custody.
