Saugeen Shores Canada 150 Committee Gets PWU Donation

The Power Workers Union is helping Saugeen Shores celebrate Canada's 150th birthday.

A union representative presented the Saugeen Shores Canada 150 Ad Hoc Planning Committee with a cheque for $5,000.

The sponsorship cheque will help cover the costs of the Saugeen Shores Celebrates events, which run from June 30 through July 9.  That includes a huge fireworks display July 1.

"This support will go a long way to help cover some of the logistical expenses that the celebration events have, and help us enhance the July 1 fireworks to be one of the best Canada Day shows Saugeen Shores has ever seen," says Heather Lorenz, administrative coordinator for the Canada 150th Committee.
